Advanced Diploma of Business
Course description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. These individuals may have general management accountabilities.
Individuals in these roles carry out complex tasks in a specialist field of expertise. They may undertake technical research and analysis, and often contribute to setting the strategic direction for a work area.
The qualification is suited to individuals who are responsible for the supervision and leadership of a team or work area, including managing staff performance and making staffing decisions.
Course structure
Total 10 units — 5 core and 5 electives.

Entry requirements
- Minimum age: 18 years at the time of enrolment.
- English language proficiency — IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in each module) or an equivalent test accepted by the Department of Home Affairs.
- Year 12 qualification or equivalent academic background.
- Course-specific pre-requisiteCompletion of a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions), OR two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise.

Education pathways
- Relevant bachelor degree or post-graduate certificate in business with a university or higher education provider
Exit point / award
Students who successfully complete all 10 units of competency will be issued with BSB60120 Advanced Diploma of Business. This qualification is recognised nationally under the AQF.
Students who complete some but not all units may be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
