Course description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. These individuals may have frontline management accountabilities.
Individuals in these roles carry out moderately complex tasks in a specialist field of expertise that requires business operations skills. They may possess substantial experience in a range of settings, but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions.
Course structure
Total 12 units — 5 core and 7 electives.

Entry requirements
- Minimum age: 18 years at the time of enrolment.
- English language proficiency — IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in each module) or an equivalent test accepted by the Department of Home Affairs.
- Year 12 qualification or equivalent academic background.

Education pathways
- Advanced Diploma of Business
- Relevant bachelor degree or post-graduate certificate in business with a university or higher education provider
Exit point / award
Students who successfully complete all 12 units of competency as stated in the Course Structure will be issued with BSB50120 Diploma of Business. This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Students who complete some but not all units may be issued with a Statement of Attainment identifying the units completed.
